Description
Cloud Hosting & Management is important factor in handling the growth of Pandera and its clients.  This organization’s mission is to provide technical expertise in the ever-growing field of customers and employees of Pandera. The successful candidate will be the hands-on leader to build and maintain a high quality cloud environment to support a portfolio of 1000’s of products used by 100’s of companies. The candidate must demonstrate an affinity for seeking, evaluating and coming up to speed on new technologies.  The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with other team members, other leaders and customers both verbally and in writing. This position provides the opportunity to be involved in new products and services offerings. The candidate is expected to set and meet SLAs for support and uptime within the Pandera Cloud service offering.  The candidate will manage the vendor relationships needed to ensure success.

Responsibilities:
  • Creation and execution of strategies for building, scaling and ensuring the availability, efficiency, and positive business impact of infrastructure investments making sure Pandera is realizing maximum value from infrastructure investments.
  • Automation of tasks utilizing either CHEF, Puppet and or PowerShell.
  • Architecting cloud solutions in AWS, Azure and Rackspace.
  • Managing Cloud environments with AWS, Azure and Rackspace.
  • Infrastructure life cycle management simultaneously driving aggressive action in building IT infrastructure with the goal of realizing transformational improvements in system capabilities, capacity, performance, speed in deployment, and service quality.
  • Delivery, management, scaling, and availability of mission critical Infrastructure services including Email, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, F5 load balancers, backup, storage, legal archive, virtualization farms, security protocols, Citrix services, client access, AD, database infrastructure, incident response processes, monitoring, and overall quality of operational response to issues in the Pandera Cloud environment.
  • Development and on-going management of key vendor relationships, service / support contracts, license true-ups, and associated negotiations.
  • Financial management of Capital and Operational budgets.
  • Liaison with:
    • Support teams ensuring unified / standard service delivery
    • Engineering teams ensuring adequate alignment on needed system functionality
    • Peers ensuring delivery of compliance related needs, and partnership
  • Information Security contributing to active protection of Pandera intellectual / information assets.
  • Working closely with Senior Management in departmental plans, policies, issues, changes, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years’ experience in leading, developing, and growing a team responsible for delivering infrastructure or similar foundational systems supporting mission critical business services.
  • Experience in administering, executing, leading resolution for unexpected service outages, system maintenance issues, data center move complexities, infrastructure system cut-overs, difficult to localize system faults, and system issues resulting from complex system dependencies. Ability and demonstrated talent in avoiding or minimizing business impact despite existing technical challenges.
  • In-depth experience working within IaaS providers such as AWS, Rackspace and Azure
  • Technical depth and experience in at least one technical area:  SAN / NAS enterprise storage, virtualization farms, Windows / Linux / UNIX administration, Exchange / messaging, or similar IT infrastructure area.
  • Strong familiarity with networking principals, firewalls, load balancers, AD, LDAP, Databases, and backup systems.
  • Technical knowledge of utilizing best practices in AWS, Azure and Rackspace.
  • Knowledgeable and depth of experience in developing, implementing, and building infrastructure, which ensures disaster recovery and service continuity. Experience with design, implementation and management of highly available (HA) system architectures.
  • Experience with interfacing or managing delivery of services through an outsourced partner.
  • Previous successful delivery to SLA based service constraints and standard operational metrics.
  • Excellent collaborative, communication, and customer engagement skills.
  • Proven organization, problem solving, and analytical experience.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science
